what is the difference?
between an automotive c6 and a truck c6? i put a junkyard c6 in my truck it was laying out on a shelf and everything fit but the shift linkage. i put the shifter all the way forward and it didn't fit. someone told me the shifter on a truck is different and all i need is a 7/8 wrench and change it. is this true?

I believe the 7/8 is correct size BUT you have to pull pan and valve body to gain access to it. Practice on your old tranny so you know what to do. you'll need the shift lever out of your tranny anyway.

Its not that hard to do. I just put two new seals in my c6 for the shifter linkage. If you have old seals in there I would recommend replacing them while you have it out. It is just a matter of time before they leak.
