Brake issues

I just did a brake job on my 95 f150 replaced the rotors brake pads and calipers I even bled the lines but some reason I'm getting some scrubbing and squeaking noises from them anybody know what is causing this I did switch from semi metallic pads to ceramic could that be the cause? I also made sure to put some cerami glyde on the back of the pads

x2 on that.

You can also try burnishing - it’s a process that effectively polishes the braking surfaces. I don’t know if it was a wide practiced routine in 95, but these days it’s recommended whenever pads and rotors are replaced.

The idea is to heat up the pads and rotors and then maintain that temperature to allow burnishing to take place. BE AWARE - this procedure can be very confusing and irritating to other drivers, so try to do it in a low or no traffic area, but if that’s not possible, pick a street that has frequent stop signs as that will allow the temperatures needed for burnishing to take place.

The recommended procedure is to accelerate up to 20 mph and then come to a complete stop using firm pressure on the pedal. You want to stop quickly but not as though in an emergency. Repeat 15-20 times allowing 30 seconds between stops to prevent the rotors from overheating.

That said, my process is as follows because it better suits the route I use and it accomplishes the same thing.

I leave the shop and perform 2-3 stops from 20 mph on the first stretch. I then bump up to 25 mph (city/school zone speed limit) for 3 stop signs. I leave town and get on a county highway (low traffic and if someone is behind me I’ll pull over so they can pass), accelerate to 60 mph, then slow to 30 mph and repeat 5-6 times over the next 3 miles. Then I drive normally back to the shop.

Is it possible I may have a a bad brake hose on that side? Because I'm only having this issue on passenger side rotors pads and calipers have been replaced I also bled the portion valve and calipers and still can't figure out what is the issue I've been told it could be the bearings on that side could be bad or the brake hose needs changed

Did you install the anti-rattle clips and are they on correctly?

I don’t know how a brake hose could be causing scrubbing and squeaking. Have you driven the truck enough to tell if something has been rubbing?

The truck does not have a proportioning valve. Could it be that you bled the RABS valve?
