I used a universal kit from Kwikwire.com, but recently I am liking the looks of the universal kits from speedwaymotors.com.
The kits typically want you to convert your column connector over to a GM style. I know it hurts, but whatchagonnado...

If you just need more circuits, and Your wiring harness is otherwise in decent shape - an auxiliary panel or panels can easily be done, and will save you a money, but mainly headaches . Switched power management is easy to do via a relay, and it can be done tastefully, and right close to the battery, keeping circuit runs short as possible.

I was going to keep my present setup in the '66 and add an auxiliary fuse panel under the hood on the inner fender for all the add on circuits. Much easier to wire and add and alter circuits in the future. And more room to add relays for the items that need more juice.
If U decide to go the American Auto Wire route it appears CJ Pony offer's the same/similar kit for few $ less; although research to make sure. I purchased wire harnesses from American Auto wire many years ago, this was when they offered individual harnesses with the same wire color code and connectors, a matter of unplugging the old and plug in the new, I was very pleased with the quality. I have no clue what their products are like today? https://www.cjponyparts.com/american...SABEgLHgfD_BwE
Thank you to everyone for the help this old truck is the poor project that gets neglected dew to being the daily driver so I cant I'm happy to finally get to park her and give her the love she needs
The AAW is good stuff and I've installed a couple Painless full car kits too. I found that for a straight forward R and R job the AAW would fit the bill. Painless includes a lot of extra circuits if you might want other accessories in the future and I had to find a spot to wrap and tuck 25 ft of wires up out of the way. Kind of a pain for being Painless. The only other company I've seen is Narragansett but I haven't seen any feedback on their kits.
