5r110 part identification

Pulled the trans pan on my 04 excursion 6.0 5r110 for regular service. This clip was laying in the bottom of the pan. I dont see where it could have come from and dont know if its critical for me to replace. any help would be appreciated.

That is a piece of a spring that goes in the internal linkage assembly, you will have to replace the mechinsum to correct this. The 5R110W is known for worn out linkages, we have replaced a few.

Here is the part number 7C3Z-7H557A

Notice the red arrow pointing to the spring on the left of the picture.

Thank you so much for the help! I appreciate forums like this where you gain knowledge from others experiences and help even when you dont actually know each other. It is a shame that you cant just replace the spring though.
