33" ? on a 78 F150 no lift

I am sure it has been discussed many times but I am not finding clear enough info looking through threads online. I would like to run a 33" tire on the stock rim and I have narrowed it down to a 33x10.5x15. Has anyone run these tires? Any rubbing or issues on the stock setup?

Any threads I should ready? Anyone with personal experience on this issue?

Thanks!

Craig

I have 35 x 12.50 x 17 on my truck, stock height. they rub...
I think 33 x 10.5 would be fine. they might rub with a full turn
in either direction but 10.5 width might be less rub.
also depends on rim offset as well weather they will rub.

For sure, my 32s don’t rub at all. Can’t say about 33s.

When I bought my truck, the PO ran 33x12.50R15 with 15x10" wheels on stock suspension. It didn't rub at all. 33x10.50s will be fine.

No Backspacing. My rims are Ford OEM from 1978.
I think the rims in your first pic are the same or it looks the same. These rims where on the 1978 Indy Pace Truck.

Either 4" or 3.75" backspacing will work.
