That's where I saw the discussion too. If it is the same guy, which is seems to be, I'd be leery of getting involved with him. I am a member of the FB page he administered.
To find out for myself if this was the same guy I posted a question on the FB page, "Anyone hear of the "Ol' Parts Mining Company"? Just curious." Within minutes I got a comment and then the post was closed off to comment by the admin. A little while later it was opened up again and Nate himself responded:
As I recall, fleecing people on stickers/decals and other memorabilia was not the only bad stuff he was doing. If Dick Crabtree is still around here, I believe he was in the thick of it.
To me he didn't just try to start a business and got in over his head. There was the time he was on here as Mr. F1 with a story about John Wayne's truck and then another event about restoring a truck for a Make a Wish kid. His response was half hearted and skimmed over a lot.
Same w/ John Kuhn out of Alvord Iowa . Now selling parts on FB '48-'50 FORD truck parts for sale . Tried to beat me out of parts & $$ yrs ago .He had 2 choices after I had the law visit him . Either send money / parts or I would make a detour to Alvord Ia. on the way to Wis . & collect in person .Finally after over a yr . received $$ back . Now he is asking for mercy . Not from me . Also head he tried the same scam on a person from Wis .This was from the local Alvord .Ia. sheriff .
Folks in this position usually don't need to "fall on their sword"...IF in fact he made good on his past mistakes then the victims will step forward to attest to his making amends. As of yet I don't hear of anyone but him singing his praises.

How many members of this forum are 6-4 and own a 1948/52? These cabs are tight, Duke was 6-4 and I'm 6-5 and I've never even sat in one.
If Duke bought one of these trucks, it was for his ranch and I doubt he ever drove it.
In 1969, Duke bought a new F250 Ranger from Ralph Williams Ford. He came in, signed the paperwork and wrote a check, but a member of his BATJAC production company drove it away.
Why didn't Duke drive it? Maybe because these cabs were tight for someone that was 6-4, 62 years old, played football at USC, had fallen off horses, performed some of his own stunts, engaged in numerous fight scenes during his 40 years in the biz.
I bought two new bumpsides ('68 & '71), but I was in my 20's when I did.
