Anyone have a 67 fender(s) for sale? One has rust and the other one got smashed last weekend (long story). Has anyone bought from LMC before and would you recommend buying a fender from them?
Thanks Mach, but mine has holes for the clearance light toward the front.
When you bought new fenders from Ford, there were no holes for mouldings, emblems or lamps, because some trucks didn't have them.
So, if trucks had the 15442 clearance lamps shown in the upper pic at far right, the holes would have to be drilled in replacement fenders to install them.
JoeKan If that,s a picture of your truck, It,s not a 67. You can tell in the picture that that truck has door lock ***** and what looks like Camper Special emblems on the lower fender. The Camper Special emblems for 67 where up on the cowl. Based on my dealings with lmc I Would NOT buy any sheet metal from them.
mrpotatohead Nope 67,s did not come with door lock *****. If you have a 67 with door lock ***** some body switched doors on your truck. I have a 67 and my Dad bought a brand new 67 they did not have lock ***** on them. You cannot lock your keys in a 67 because you have to use the keys to lock the door from the out side.56 f-100,s were the same way. Door lock ***** did not start until 68.It,s just another one of those one year only things about the 67,s
The hood emblems also state 68+ In 67 the hood emblems did not have reflectors on them.
Can you get pictures of the inside? The dash area where the radio is.
This is the only picture I could find but it's the running light right in front of the tire. I'm wondering if this is a true 67 fender or not? It is, because it's the only fender.
This is the light I referenced in post #6, look at the parts catalog pic I posted.
These lamps were installed on Camper Specials, F350's with dual rear wheels and factory installed flat & stake beds, F500/750's.
1967: You push the inside handles forward to lock the doors, 1968/72's have door lock *****. And there's far more differences with these doors than just this.
1967 only: Door shells, door lock remote controls, window regulators, inside door handles, window crank handles, door latches, door lock cylinder rods, vent frames & handles, door trim panels & arm rests.
1967/72 same: Outside door handles, upper/lower hinges, glass and weatherstrips, door lock cylinders, division bars.
1968/72 doors fit 1967's, but they arenot original for 1967's.
In 1966, the US Gov't mandated that light trucks had to have: backup lamps, lap seat belts, heater/defroster, L/H outside mirror and door lock ***** as standard equipment.
It was too late in production to engineer new doors for 1967, so the lock **** doors were introduced in 1968. All 1967's had the other 'mandates.'
Edit to add: Assuming all the body parts are original, you have either a 68 or 69 (the reflectors you have at the back of the bed side were only used in 68 and 69). Is there a reflector under the tail lights? No reflector, it's a 68. If it has them, 69. 70-72 have a side marker in line with the bump and no side reflector. No reflectors on 67's.
