rusty floor
Hi all,
I have a 86 bronco, and i love it to death but with winter coming up i have some work to do. the bed is rusted out and the back left corner inside is rusted away from the support also right in front of the back seat and where the seat is bolted in is all rusted out(holes big enough to fit a hand or two in) and i don't want to get rid of my toy but don't want alot of snow inside why i'm driving. Any suggestions will be greatly accecpted. Thank you all in advance.

Sheet metal, sheet metal, sheet metal. Although my Bronco isnt bad enough for the floorboards to be rusted thru, but on an old scout I had, I cut out sections that were rusted and then mig welded in some sheetmetal as needed. Since its on the floor, and not real visible especially if you have carpet, then I wasnt worried about the cosmetics. Just used alot of anti rust coating.
If you dont want to cut, the weld in a peice of sheet metal over the hole. Just make sure you make it big enough to get past the rusted area.
