Question Repair CDs

Has anyone tried out one of those repair CDs off E-bay? I see they are only $9.99. Great site.

Yeah, I got one.

It's okay. It helped me in a pinch and with helping others users here.

It's a bit of a pain to use but for $10 it is fine.

How would your rate the CD compared to a Chiltons manual?

The Chilton's and/or Haynes manuals are OK for the casual enthusiast. The CD has all the factory data, but is not as easy to use as a manual .... unless you have a laptop you can take to the X. I have the CD, but I prefer using the Ford factory orginal service manuals available from Helm, Inc. Plan on spending about $230 or so for the 2-volume manual AND a third book of wiring diagrams. It's often quicker to locate, and re-locate, information in the hardcopy manuals.

The factory data is much better than Chilton/Haynes, but it still isn't perfect. I've found a couple minor errors in the factory manuals.

The last time I bought a C or H manual must've been 25 years ago. I have no faith in them ... but that's just one man's opinion.
