Can anyone tell me for sure if the puck systems are the same in a 2013 F350 and a 2018 F250? Found a hitch I want but, it’s out of a 2013. I believe their the same just want to verify it before I drive 2hrs away to get get.
I can tell you that the Reese elite I bought for a 2015 ford puck system fits the new trucks. Since the 2013 and 2015 are identical, I would say you should be good.
What do you have and where are you located. I’m in the Pittsburgh area and found a B&W Companion for the Ford puck system. Guy bought it new in 2018 and used it for six months supposedly. Got it for 600$

Thanks, I’m thinking the same thing. Talked to a parts guy at a dealership and he said the same thing. I just don’t always trust their answers though. 😂

I'm in Robinson and will have a BW companion with ford puck base for sale in about the next week. Also have my truck for sale too. PM with any interest.
FWIW, you may want to double check, bc they are not the same part # from ford. When I bought the OEM system for my 13, I never installed it. When I got this 19, I called local ford parts house, he told me to return the 1 I had, pick up this newer one. I have no idea what is different, I just know they are different part #s, and dealer told me the old 1 will not work.

For clarification, are you wanting a 5th wheel hitch or the gooseneck/5th wheel prep kit that bolts to the frame?
If you are wanting just a hitch, the feet dimensions are the same. Hitch will set right down in it. If you are wanting the prep kit, the frame change in 2017 may affect fitment of a previous generation.
^^^ I bet you are correct, it says he found a hitch. My apologies, I misread it.
The under bed parts are different because the frames are different, c channel vs. boxed. If the truck already has the underbed prep, the hitches that drop in are the same.

That is correct, I bought the hitch (B&W Companion) that was in a 2013 Ford with the factory puck system and it dropped right into my 2018.
I contacted Reese customer service about a week ago and they told me the older fifth wheel hitchs Will work with the newer puck system but the pins need to be modified. You probably should call the hitch manufacture.
I’m using the same B&W Companion with the 2019 as I was with my 2015, both using the factory fifth wheel prep package. The spacing is exactly the same no question about it.
