This is taken from under my truck and the bottom half of the picture is my cab.
Hey everyone I am having a coolant leak on the inside of my engine bay where the tube meets the cab on the left side of the engine (while looking into the engine lol). I want to fix this leak and was going to replace this “gasket” type thing as im calling it but I obviously dont know what its called or where to find it or how to replace it. Any help is appreciated!
Well I wish I knew what I was looking at
Can you take the picture a little farther away so we can see just what you are talking about.
Or can you take a picture from the top side, not up close, showing the area?

Yeah sorry about that!! I was in the dark when I took the picture. I will get a better one tomorrow!

That's OK
I want to say that is the bottom of the HVAC box and the heater core is leaking.
Do the windows fog up or are greasy / oily?
Do you get a sweet small inside when motor gets up to temp?

The windows fog up very easily but I had assumed it was because its an older truck. I dont think there is a sweet smell, but i was riding around in it for about an hour the other night and my friend did mention something along the lines of “is your heater or ac on? There is a weird smell coming from it”
and there was a weird smell but I dont recall it being sweet!

With what I can make out from the pictures, windows fogging up no old trucks don't do that, and smell I would say it's the heater core leaking.

I concur with Dave. That looks like a wire going through the firewall. Your core is probably leaking down out of the box and probably has your fire wall insulation soaked. A quick minute under the passenger side dash should confirm.
Actually yea, looking closer this bolt? has coolant all over it, then you can see the wash pattern as it runs down the firewall. The fuzziness around that "grommet" looks like insulation pulling out from the firewall as stated before.

Wow!!! Thats some good detective work and I am kind of happy (mainly because I feel like this post is getting somewhere) to report back and tell you that is exactly whats happening. Here is a picture on the passenger side under my dash with the carpet pulled back!
You cant see it very well in the picture but there is a lot of coolant leaked into here.
now... the next question I have is of course going to be about fixing this! That “tube” that seems to be leaking the coolant onto the harness going into the cab.. what is that? Why is it not connected to anything? I am very intrigued.

If that's is a tube it's probably one side of your heater core and you have a heater hose unhooked. Picture is too close for me to tell for sure. Your radiator low or needing filled every day?

Ive only filled it once and I didn’t put much in it even after a 3 hour drive. It also doesn’t seem to be low now and ive drove it about 6 hours since i got it home. I dobt see anything unhooked either so maybe either it had a cap on it that came off or the PO removed an entire tube?

Can you fit your entire engine bay in one or two pictures.
