Removing the Borg Warner Transmission

Removing the Borg Warner Transmission
I have had this 1959 F100 for less than months...love the truck but the transmission is leaking really bad so want to pull it, degrease and reseal everything.
Truck is up on a lift and the transmission looks pretty easy to remove....except I can not figure out how to remove the shifter handle. Should the cap I see in the passenger compartment come off so I can remove the shift handle?
What am I missing here?

Thanks for that. I did exactly that this morning when I realized it had witness marks where someone else unscrewed.
I figured its heavy but I do have a transmission jack so that should make life alot easier.
