Hello all, I ordered my 2019 Superduty back in April and at the time didn't feel the need to add in the additional camera package. I only have the one on the tailgate. If I was to purchase the cameras, are the ones under the mirrors, front grill simple plug and play? If so, can Ford update software so my infotainment center will recognize them? Anything else I may be missing?

I think it is quite a bit more involved, i don’t think any of the wiring is there on my lariat, however I’m really not sure, but my research has suggested using the Rostra multi cam interface, along with aftermarket cams, I couldn’t find a single person that added the oem cams to any ford vehicle for that matter.
But if you do figure it out, let me know, I want the oem set up, 360 view to be exact.
You will likely need to go aftermarket for the head unit. I have an '18 XL that came with the miniscule 4" screen that I could barely see when backing up. I upgraded to a 7" Kenwood DDX9904S and haven't looked back. I only added a front camera but it was all very straightforward albeit time consuming.
I highly recommend Crutchfield. They are very knowledgeable and helpful. Give them a call and they can help.

You can add the OEM cameras but they’re not plug and play and “NO" Ford dealer will program them for you.
With that being said, your best bet would be to look at what’s available via the aftermarket.
Go to the PAC Audio website or the NAV-TV website.
Alot of people have asked this question, and I'll tell ya, sure, you could add the camera package...but it's going to cost you an arm, a leg, and your first born. Not worth it in any aspect. You'd be better off trading in for a truck that has them. That's what my coworker did and somehow managed to do with without losing any money. Dealership gave him 52k for his 17 lariat with 40K'ish miles. It worked well for him, and might be an option.
Otherwise, I'd look into aftermarket. And no, I believe the part numbers are different for the APIMs, so they can't just reflash the radio for ya.
Maybe a T-style radio? I saw a few come with 360 camera inputs. Very clean looking setups, but I don't think the radios are up to par yet.
Thanks everybody.....was kinda thinking it would be a plug n play deal so yea the wind just got sucked out of my sails. But I do appreciate all the input. I'll let ya know what I do!
If you just want to add the High Mount rear camera, it can be done, however, the 360 cameras and the birds eye which adds the front, and each side camera and the wired behind trailer camera need a different APIM.
