I hate aftermarket manual. 1995 Ford F-150 5.8l. Put in distributor, pulled the connection next to the coil near back of engine and set timing at 10. Only problem is i am not sure the connection I pulled is the right one. I do not have tfi but believe this unit is a Dura Spark 2? No vacumn advance on distributor but does have flat spot where one would mount. Only one plug to dstributor. Can anyone tell me if I pulle the right thing?
If the engine & distributor is the trucks original then it has a TFI Module . The Spout Connector is two wires , about 5 or 6 inches long capped off with a square plastic piece coming out of the bottom of the distributor , you remove that cap & adjust the timing . Reinstall it when you have finished .
