92 5.0 Realistic Towing Capacity
Hi,
I am considering the purchase of a 5.0 supercab f150. I am hoping that someone out there can help me make a good decision. What I am hoping to find out is how well a 5.0 will pull a 5000 pound trailer, I am in Seattle and there are some hills and mountain passes to contend with. I appreciate any input from anyone with a similar setup.
Thank you in advance,
Dexter.

I had a 94 F-150 ext cab 4x4, 5.0. I towed my 73 F-100 one time on a trailer and it managed but I think you will be much happier with a 351W. The 5.0 honestly is just pretty week. Also I had the E4OD, but I've heard others on this BB that say with a manual they get better pickup and performance. My vote is for the 351. Check out this link on the 302 BB- https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/DCForumID18/213.html Good luck
