Tires

My truck, 2005 F350 diesel 4x4 SRW crewcab with BFG 275/70Rx18 All Terrain T/A K02 with 20,000 miles and they are about worm out. I drive conservatively, occasionally I pull a light boat and use the truck mostly for pleasure.

We are going into Winter in Richmond VA soon and to feel safe I'm going to have to get new tires definitely not BFGs!!!!

So what’s your question? Are you asking for recommendations?

Michelin Defender LTX M/S is what I have on my daily driver (110 miles per day) and they are great tires.

Dave's with Dave... I tried to save money by going cheap with Chicom tires and the infamous Ford rear end hop that I never experienced with the OEM Michelins LTX All terrains. Sold them and bought what Dave has... The Defender LTX M/Ss in 275/65R20s based on reviews online. Plus I think they have at least a 60k mile warranty. Can't wait to try them soon in the snow. I like that the siping runs deep on them.

Goodyear Duratrac...

Excellent All year round... Very good in snow, mud, sand, gravel, etc. Surprisingly quiet..

The Duratrac above saved me from a severe rear end collision. I had to stop from 50mph to zero in what seemed like two seconds.

The ABS kicked in and I was able to safely stop. I know these tires saved me. Thank you God.

I do not think the BFG's would have stopped me.

I would only use Duratrac from now on except this new truck has 19.5 inch rims and it's a dually.
