Good morning everyone and welcome to the 1st day of September. I hope everyone has a good month.
Kaedon will be leaving for bootcamp on the 9th. She'll do fine though. Hard to believe my baby girl's all grown up & off to see the world. She's taking me out today for a special breakfast & other secret plans since she'll be working on Tuesday(my birthday). Lol
Have a Super Sunday!
Please give a warm welcome to our newest chapter member...
hotfalcoon aka Carl.
Please introduce yourself & tell us a bit more about you & your vehicle/s.
It's nice to meet up with (when possible), get advice & just have a place to go to share stories & daily happenings with other FTEers. I hope you find FTE an enjoyable & informative site.
Thanks for the welcome.
I have been a member of FTE since 2010.
I have a 1957 F100 that was my first vehicle, currently in pieces. I have a 1978 F250 4X4 that I bought for donor parts for the ‘57 but is currently unmolested. I drive a 2004 F150 4X4. FTE is a wealth of knowledge and people willing to help others.I have found info here that I could not find anywhere else. I look forward to talking with and meeting other members if possible. Thanks again Carl
Good morning everyone and TGIF!
Compared to last month, it's been extremely slow in our monthly thread. I'm guessing some of us flew south for the winter? LOL
I started working as a cashier a little over a month ago but I'm feeling more & more like a stocker as that's all I've done for the last 2 weeks except for running the register during co-workers 10 minute breaks. I know some stocking is expected as a cashier, but this goes above & beyond. I'm finding out the hard way, that I'm not as young as I try to be...my back just can't take the abuse I'm having to put it through. Since the Store Owner owns a few local Subway shops, I'm seriously thinking of transferring & working there instead. Jimmy started work at
Daihan Solutions making interiors for Tesla vehicles 2 weeks ago & he comes home tired & sore as well.
On a different note,
Kaedon shipped out for her Army National Guard Bootcamp in Missouri (Misery as she puts it) 2 weeks ago & other than it being so lush & green, she hates it there. I think she's just home sick but she knew what she was getting herself into when she signed the enlistment papers. She's definitely regretting it & wants to come home. Just 4 more weeks of Basic Training, then she ships out to Virginia for approx.14 weeks of AIT Training. Her MOS is 91B10 - Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic. If she can just survive basic training w/o giving up, then I have no doubt what so ever that she'll make it through her AIT school/training because she's not afraid to get grease under her nails! She likes tearing down/rebuilding engines & transmissions, restorations, etc.
I'm proud of her whether she survives bootcamp or not.
Good morning Nevada, welcome to Tuesday! Should be stopping by a little more, as summer winds down. It's been a busy one for me! Heck, I've barely touched my 67 this year.
It's a terrific Tuesday so far....I'm off work today & tomorrow. WOOHOO!
For anyone interested, Street Vibrations is this week in Carson City, Reno and Virginia City with the best day being Saturday(11am-3pm) in V.C. for the tittie parade. Jimmy & I will be going to check "em out & guessing which ones are real or fake. Lol
Maybe we'll see some of you there?!
Have a awesome day
No problem and overall I have been doing well. Turned the half century mark in August and I can tell that I am getting older because of the aches and pains that I don't remember having before.....lol.
Morning everyone and I hope that your day is going well.
