Sliding Door on Van
When I open the sliding door on my 1998 ford club wagon all the way it locks in the open position - I can't close it from the outside - have to reach in and use the inside latch to close the door - the outside latch handle sticks in a forward position - it doesn't spring back to the center position as it use to - I thought of taking off the paneling on the inside of the door but have no idea where to start removing the paneling - has anyone removed the door paneling on this sliding door - if so would sure appreciate any suggestions on how to do it - thank you - Joe

I don't have any interior trim on my sliding door, so I have no idea how yours needs to be removed. However, mine has done the same thing twice and it was a loose screw. I can't recall exactly which one, but it was obvious when I got in there and jiggled stuff around
