Sport mode in the traction control just allows a bit of wheel spin and horsing around. But it does revert to full traction control after a period of time.
I tried it a couple times, not hot rodding around but to me it seemed like it held gears longer. Not quite like tow haul mode but longer than standard. I could be trippin though.
At this point, there's no way that I'm telling the girlfriend that sport mode has nothing to do with making the baseball game come in clearer on the radio...
Just to be clear about this...I'm not turning off the traction control, I am engaging the sport mode that shows up on the center screen. I haven't driven the truck enough in sport to be able to get a good feel on this feature, maybe I have to drive it a little more!
It does let you spin the tires a bit more wihtout the traction control engaging braking and slowing you down, so for instance, you can burn a bit of a donut in gravel. No effect on transmission I can tell, no affect on shift points, still reduces engine thorttle input to lower gears 1, 2, 3. But at some point traction control still engages and comes on, even if TC off, eventually, it will still power you down when there is excessive wheel spin....

But you are double pressing the traction control button on the dash to enable this, correct?
