Hey guys, i have had my truck deleted (2016) for around 40k miles. I left the egr cooler in and installed the block off plates. I have been looking into completely deleting the egr cooler. I came across this and wanted to get some opinions? I have heard that getting rid of the cooler entirely is better? Is this true or am I ok with what i have going now?
If you go on flea Bay you can find the same kit from Rudy's diesel for about a 100 bucks. My personal opinion is the way you went is easier to go back to stock if needed but I think removing the whole thing is better less likely for there to be a leak even if there is a 0.001% chance as too much of a chance for me at least that's what the OCD angel in my head says.🤯 Please tell me you removed the DPF filter rocketship scud missile submarine paperweight and so on and so on. If you plan on keeping the truck for a long time probly removing everything is the best choice but this is just my opinion. What program And tune did you go with?
Dpf is gone, I am using sct with GH tuning. I like it, but I really wanna change my shift points and a few other things. I haven’t been able to get that done so I’m thinking about trying someone else, just have to find people that can tune the sct still, seems like they are all going away from it...

Whatever kit you get, make sure it has the flow-thru plate for the cylinder head coolant path. Don’t get the one that “dead heads” the two coolant passages.

Thats mostly what I wanted to know. I am going to order this next week I think! Thanks!
