7.3 issue

Hey guys new to the site. Im have a problem with my 7.3 and hopeing i can get some help. When driving my truck sometimes when i barley start pressing the pedal it wants to go. It takes off, say im trying to driving down a school zone at 20mph it will sometimes feel like im trying to race it. It speeds up really fast as if im slamming the pedal to the floor. Also sometimes their will be a lag just no power then will be back to normal. So my issues are fast acceleration with barley tapping the pedal or trying to drive slow and some times no power for a few sec. Their nos boost leak from what i can tell no soot in the engine nor smoke that i can see. Thank you for the help - Todd

No check engine light? Sounds like a potentially (scary) faulty accelerator position sensor.

No check engine, i get scanned all the time anyways in case their was a bad light

It does sound like a throttle position sensor (TPS) to me as well. There are ways to test that but I'm not up on them.

ICP sensor. Unplug it and see it the symptoms stop after driving around unplugged for a while. Will throw a code and check engine light, but its a free and easy test
