Hooked up a trailer for the first time last week, now after disconnecting the trailer, instead of going to the default screen of digital speedometer every time I start the truck it goes back to the towing screen on the dash. Anyone had this happen or know how to resolve?
And I'd venture a guess that you disconnected the trailer plug with the engine shut off. That's usually how you get that "condition". Make sure you unplug while the engine is still running, or at least while the key is in accessory position.

Doesnt make a difference for me. I always have to manually de select the trailer.

I've always disconnected with the engine running and I still have to go into the menu and select "no active trailer".

Maybe it's a '19 model thing? I know if I disconnect while the engine is running, I'm good to go. If I shut down first, I have to either re-connect, or deselect.

Its buggy as hell - my 2017 "mostly" needs to be told "no active trailer"....but sometimes it doesn't. Maybe they fixed it in 2019. Any who the heck turns off their truck to disconnect a trailer anyway? I always see that response in these threads, and I don't think I've ever done that in my life. My truck is always running when hitching or unhitching. You typically have to move the truck when your done unhitching...if nothing else a couple inches forward to drop the trailer back to "level" position for storage.
I just noticed mine is doing the same thing, added 100 non towing miles to the screen. I know for a fact that I disconnected my fifth wheel while the truck was running so it must stay in active trailer mode until you go in the menu & un-select it? That’s the dumbest thing ever, guess I’ll have to pay more attention every time now.
