Question f250 ttb

Has anyone ever converted a f250/350 4x4 TTB to coil spring setup? I'm converting my 92 350 crew dually 2wd to 4wd since i'm not climbing rocks or slinging mud , i'll be using the D50 TTB (they're easier to come by and not as expensive as a D60 mono). the truck will be mainly a road hogg, I want the coil springs for ride comfort. I have'nt decided on the radius arms yet. thinking if 2 arms per side (kinda a 4-link thing) or a custom single extended.

Have you thought about using a TTB from a F150 or Bronco and just doing a 5 to 8 lug conversion? They are already setup for coils and that lug conversion is pretty easy. Most of the F250s had the same TTB - the D44 - as the 150s anyway (exept for the HDs that had the D50 TTB). And if your off-roading is minimal like you said then you might not need the small amount of extra strength. Plus you can get the top coil spring buckets off your donor F150 and weld/bolt them on whever you want depending on the height you need.
You might need to use the coils off of your 350 coils if you have a 460 or PSD.

i was thinking about the d44 but i want the larger brakes of the d50 i have read about other people using GM front knuckle assemblies on the 44 plus i'd still have to regear the 44 since most were 3.55/3.08. i can do a d50 cheaper in the long run.
i should only have to drill holes for the radius arms. that is if the holes are'nt already there.

i am not sure about the ttb but on the dana44 half ton straight axles you can swap knuckles out with the three quarter tons to get the eight bolt pattern and bigger brakes. id bet you could do it with the ttb also if you used a f150 ttb swapped the knuckles out for f250 parts it would be a bolt together deal the 50 would be alot more work all custom fab. but any thing is possible
