I would choose the bumper pull.

lets you put a cap on the truck and outfit it for really good storage.

I have a 2019 f-450 and decided my TT will be bumper pull. I installed the z series ARE cap and have the DECKED draw system installed.

Would love to have a 5th wheel, but need the bed for firewood and five bicycles. Plus, when you have to tear down camp in the rain and mud, everything gets tossed in the bed...keeps the trailer cleaner.

However, I wouldn’t want to maneuver a 39’ bumper pull trailer in to a gas station for autos. #1 reason to pull with a diesel (it’s not the torque) is the opportunity to refuel at big rig stations that are easy to get in and out of.

The key take-away is that each decision has trade-offs and at some point, you’ll wish for the other option, which makes this all the more fun 😀

'05 EXcursion V-10 pulling a Jayco 338RETS (41') with a Hensley Arrow, 61' bumper to bumper, with over 42K towing miles we have had plenty of gas stops. Big rig diesel only lanes are obviously not an option for us, picking gas stations with the pump islands parallel to the storefront is the best bet. With a little patience and care it really isn't a big deal getting in and out.

Have an 18 6.2 with 4.30s on a LB towing a 11k-14k 35' 5er. Went that route as we didnt want a 35+' bumper pull
