Hpop leaking at snap ring ?

Hpop leaking at snap ring ?
So I have that dreaded fuel leak replaced fuel / water valve old one looked good but made in China so got one from Ford , noticed there was silicone or some kind of sealant on back of hpop were snap ring is located ,yes just bought the truck had oil/ fuel leak , now is there a way too fix this leak or do I need too buy new hpop any info would be great thx
