Hey guys. I know there is allot of info out here on the interwebs. But I would like real world knowledge on the subject.
I have come to the conclusion that I want to delete my EGR and DPF systems in my 2011 6.7
my motive is to keep the parts aside in the garage and to preemptively stop issues in the future. I have 175k on the girl now and I want allot more.
Now to my issue. There are so many products out there and so many companies promising this and that. But I want to know what everyone else has done to their trucks as far as the deleted and the tune. If there is a package deal then I’ll be all for it.
Any insight and links would be really appreciated.
You don't see a lot of complete packages advertised. I simply called around to various companies, like Alligator Performance and No Limit, and asked. Alligator Performance put a complete package together for me based on my needs and sent it.

What type of tuner did they send? Was it ore programmed?

I requested an EZ-Lynk tuner, and yes it effectively came pre-programmed. I can't remember exactly, but I think I was given a key code to access updates from the tuning company. Now I get emails when tunes have been updated and I can access them wirelessly.

That’s not bad at all. Did you get a full exhaust setup? Or just the pipe that deletes the dpf?
I got just the race pipe, the pipe that only replaces the DPF. A few months later I added a Donaldson muffler.
Is the drone sound to much to handle without a muffler? I’m interested in a turbo back exhaust but I think it could possibly not bring better results than the stock exhaust and just one more thing to add and install.

It was too much for me, but it's subjective. If you search for my thread on here, you can see my before and after decibel measurements with the muffler.
Tons of info. Just search delete in advanced search. Theres not really a package. Just educate yourself by reading up on it and you will know what you want. What one person does isnt what another person may want. So many different options to go. I read up for about a month or so and made my decision.
I put new h&s cold air intercooler pipes on cuz stock are plastic and know to crack. New s&b cold air intake. Block off plates. Didnt remove egr. Just blocked off. Easier to return to stock as long as valve doesnt freeze up. Sct x 4 Tuner w 4 tyrant tunes. Full 5 inch mbrp straight back exhaust. Im not a fan of the stock muffler tip. So I got rid of it. I like the black 5 inch tip. Just a personal opinion. Its not loud in cab regular driving. Towing 15k it gets loud. Also installed egt monitor in block off plate to monitor with my edge cts inside cab. Think I spent around 2k for everything listed above. Much cheaper then fixing emissions egr,dpf out of warranty. I did wait till truck was out of warranty but honestly looking back I wouldve done it day 1. Truck is a monster now. It was before but even more so. But honestly I did it for longevity and rarely “get on it hard”. Sometimes though
but not all is required,so its best to read up a lot.
There's a new person who posted in the '99 - 2016 forum looking for a cheap delete kit. I asked that the thread be moved here but I guess the Admins haven't see my request yet. This is the thread - https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...e-methods.html
I had a quick question that I figure might go better here rather than starting a new thread for...
I have a '17 F250 6.7 - just bought a DPF delete pipe and this tuner
A couple things I'm still a little unsure on - probably stupid questions on my end so i apologize in advance:
I'm unsure if I need to "unplug" my EGR or if the tuner will disable it automatically ..
and on the topic of EGR - is there a huge benefit to also getting an EGR delete kit? I'm seeing some people just do the DPF delete. Is there a big difference between unplugging or disabling the EGR and fully removing it?
To clarify, the EZ LYNK does not contain tune files. It is simply a gateway device between OBDII and a wireless device such as an iphone using WiFi or if gen 2, Bluetooth. AutoAgent is the app loaded to your device. The sticker code received with the EZ LYNK is provided to the tuning company where you purchased the tune files which are then added to your AutoAgent account you setup after installing the app. Think of the tuning files as licenses tied to your AutoAgent "cloud" account and the devices used don't contain the files.
There is the SCT X4 as well. That device uses a separate process where files are loaded to the device, including a save of your factory firmware.
