Is there anywhere to buy a replacement DPF for a 2012 F-350 6.7 ?
Is it possible to change out by myself ?
I don't want/need to delete as I have "retired" this pickup to farm/ranch work at 250,000 miles. This pickup is in immaculate shape inside and out and I'm not spending 4 grand to replace or 3 grand to delete.
Are you looking a new or used replacement? If new, it's gonna be expensive. Otherwise, there's people on craigslist that sell them. I heard about a guy in Texas that buys and sells a lot. The only difficult part about changing them out is the weight and size. They're awkward by yourself so it helps to have a hand.
That being said, you're the prime candidate for a delete. It costs about 1k to delete, give or take. A used replacement DPF should be a hair cheaper.
I would look around for cheaper ways to delete. If it’s just a farm truck you’re going to have challenges completing regens. I think there are ‘levels’ of deletes which vary in cost. You may want to start a thread ‘the cheapest way to delete’ in the 6.7 forum.
