Yes, all of those tachs are mechanical. You would need a distributor with a tach drive and the cable. The FT engines may have used a larger oil pump drive shaft, so you might not be able to just swap one in, but there were FE distributors with a mechanical tach drive, or you could send out the FT distributor to be rebuilt with an FE shaft by pressing in new bushings. The distributors come up on ebay all the time, but I rarely see the cables.
