You can ask whatever price you want. It doesn't mean you will get it. I went to go help a friend check out a older truck similar to this and the seller kept talking about all the ones for sale for similar price, but those are the ones that aren't selling.

Lately there have been several 7.3L 4x4 OBS trucks for $5k or less near me. They even had the right bed on them.... Lol. They were work trucks but that one certainly doesn't look like a trailer queen. Also look at the first image. I can't tell if it has a really bad paint job or really bad body work (or both) but it's wavy as hell.

I wouldn't be that concerned about the bed, as long as there's not hidden rust and frame is straight. If the miles are correct & engine/mechanical things are good he's a little high but in the ballpark.
