Engne swap!?
I am planning to swap out my 360 for a 429, I've asked around and have heard many different answers. Will the 429 basically drop in and bolt up, with a few minor changes? I have the taller tranny, bell housing C6, thats not a problem. But, I was told that the same mounts that hold my 360 in will work for the 429, except one hole won't line up to the block, and all I have to do is drill a new one, and I'm in business. And, where can I find a pair of good, cheap headers. I think I want to go the exit out the well fender style, so I'll have room to change starters, if neccessay.
I have that problem with the 360, I have to remove the header, and unbolt from exhaust, so as to take out and put in a replacement starter. And, even then its hard.
If anyone has any advise for what I need for the swap, please let me know. Oh yeh, what an oil pan, is there one I can use with the sump in the rear for a 4x4 Thank you all for all advise
