Angry 2001 Expedition Eddie Bauer

I am trying to locate the blower motor resistor that is supposed to be under the glove compartment on passenger side (of course). The only video or picture showing the location does not look like mine. It might be because I have the variable speed climate control. My front blower doesn't come on. It did come on occasionally but now it won't come on at all. If anyone has a visual of the location please let me know.

So you have the EATC automatic climate ? With the black box resistor? I think that one might be on the driver's side of the housing. On the F150 it's located near the turn signal relay, that clicks when you have the turn signal selected on. You might try turning on the turn signal and listen for the relay clicking and follow that sound, the blower resistor module is next to that.

Thank you for the pic. I have been looking for a couple of days on the passenger side. No wonder I couldn't find it. I will look on the other side tomorrow. I am new to this site and trying to figure out how to post something so if I make beginner mistakes I apologize to everyone.

Hamfisted, I do not have something that looks like the picture you sent. I tried to download a good pic. I am a rookie to this site.

Did you look up against the air box with a flashlight ? What's that brown circuit board there in the back of your pic ? You dfanidn't show a pic of the HVAC head unit in your Expy, maybe you don't have the EATC system and not the black fan speed control module.

He's on the left side of the steering column, not the right side.

Look above the gas pedal!

More pics under dash. I found something that could be it on the passenger side that looks like what they call a blower motor speed control.

According the the factory service manual, it's buried up behind the glovebox. See those three vertical fins in your last photo? Looks like the back part of the BSCM.

Attached are factory instructions on replacing it.

Blower motor speed control

Thanks guys. After removing the various panels I finally found it behind and above the glove box. I now need to find out how to test it. I didn't find any burnt wires. If anyone knows how to test it when it is off,I would appreciate it. Or do I have to reconnect it to test it. It does look like the picture but I wasn't expecting to a circuit board on the one face.

I am looking for a blower motor speed control.

I just took this out of my 2001 Exp and looking for a used one. Also I am trying to find out how to test it.
Is the Part No. F5LF-19E624-RD? If so, does the replacement have to be those exact numbers including the RD at the end. What is A55118?

2001 Expy HVAC

I did something I should have done first after checking fuses and relays. It appears that there is voltage going to the blower motor when the controls for the fan are turned on and no voltage when turned off. So I think it is the blower motor itself. I took the blower out which was not easy working under the dash and behind the glove box. It is very tight under there and I didn't want to take the dashboard out. I am going to find a blower motor to try. Wish me luck. Thanks everyone for helping.
