Walbro pump upgrade
Ive mentioned having upgraded these in another post, but I've just finished the second today. Before I put them aside in my pile of parts to put back on does anyone see a future issue with doing this swap?
The truck is 1989 f250 with 351w and dual tanks obviously and the pumps are Walbro 255 GSS340's.
The assembly's wiring was cut, tinned, new connectors added to utilize the walbro adapter without butt connectors and the tubing shortened by less than an inch on both to fit without extending the bottom at all. What I'm wondering is if the inline selection diverter will disagree with the higher pressure coming to it vs the stock setup having the inline high pressure pump( removed went bad ) after it on the rail. I've not seen this before but I didn't see why it couldn't be done because the 1990's had high pressure in tank pump from what I gathered.
Walbro tech support said the power should* not be an issue.
Side note- this to support future upgrades and I need new fuel lines ran anyway mine are pretty bad.
