Header advice

Hello all. Just purchased a '56 yesterday that is amazingly clean/rust free. It is all original with the exception of the motor. It has a 302/C4 combination that he 80 year old owner said was out of a 1972 car. It was installed about 25 years ago, so he does not remember many of the details. I have installed headers several times in the past, but it has always been on older cars with the original motor, making the fit selection easier. I have not attempted to buy or install headers on a vehicle with a "new" motor in it. Any advice as to how I would select headers that would clear steering and/or shift linkage on the driver's side? The passenger side looks clear and has plenty of room. Thanks, Glenn

Welcome to the forum, Glenn! Congratulations on your 'new' truck. One of the more popular and higher quality headers for your application is Sanderson headers. Here's a link you may find helpful. They have 2 different headers for the F100/302 conversion with differing outlets. Take a look and you can decide which one might work best for your combination. https://www.sandersonheaders.com/cla...-7/221-302-10/
