headers for F-150

headers for F-150
ok i have a 86 F-150 that i am having a new motor put in.
the motor that is going in it is a EFI 302 that came out of a 87 mercury grand marqise.
both of the manifolds off of the truck engine were cracked and the guy who is swaping the motors told me that he cant use the ones of off the mercury motor. is this true ?
anyways i am interested in a set of headers for the truck. i have found alot of 302 headers for mustangs on ebay and stuff that are pretty cheap. so i was wonering if any year of mustang header for a 302 would work for my mercury motor that is in my truck.
or would i have to get headers for the truck motor ?
and what headers are better for on and off road use, pulling trailers . should i get shorty headers or not ?
if anyone knows it would be a big help. thanks.

I'd go to some online store like Summit.com and type in what kind of engine you need headers for. As for the shorty headers, id stick to the full length unless you dont have enough room, but in an 86 you should have the room.
