240I6 to C6

I have a 1985 Ford F350 with a 351 Windsor and C6 tranny. The windsor breathed its last not too long ago and I was wondering if the 240 I6 I pulled out of my 65 F100 would bolt up to the C6 until I can afford to replace the windsor. Any help would be appreciated.

Bellhousing is the same. 240 is internally balanced like a 300 so your 351 flexplate will not work. Use 85 F-series/Bronco 300 mounts and accessory brackets.
