I'm really interested in doing body work but don't have the time to go to a Junior College to learn. Is there any place that can teach this to me without a class room setting? I don't want to go in business for myself or anything like that, this is for personal enrichment so I can do my own vehicles. Thanks for any help.

Has anyone rented a dustless blasting to do their own truck? I'm thinking of doing this on my 67 but would like to hear from someone who has done this.
I took a night course at course at a local collage. It helps. You tube can help. Depending on the other forums you are on there are some people there that can help as well.
Never heard of dustless blasting for your own use. I have seen it done via pictures and videos. Seems to be great way to go. The guy I talked to says he adds a chemical into the water that will give you 3 days to get the metal into primer before it will start to flash rust over.
Remember, while you are at work or studying, you are working for someone, not for yourself. First of all, I can advise you on a very useful book: "Poor Dad, Rich Dad", Robert Kiyosaki
It really helps you understand what money is and how to make it work for you.
Its slot more work but I've always been taught hand sanding is the way to go, crosshatch pattern, after your at bare metal do a coat or 2 of primer and what helped me understand bodywork was sanding with a grill cleaning block to make seeing your high and low spots easy, primer again, block, fill , repeat until its smooth as a baby's bottom, dont be afraid to put your face to the surface to see the "hills and valleys" my grandpa used to use a lead stick a torch a big spoon to fill , I only watched him do that, my uncle's taught me bondo, it's not difficult just time consuming, cheese graters are good for getting the initial bulk of it but it's easy to take too much, just take your time, my old bodyshop boss chuck said it cant be pretty if you ain't sweating, I cut my teeth on a 36 ford coupe and was deathly afraid of messing up such an amazing peice of history by the time I'd spent 100s of hours sanding filling priming and repeating a few times over on it she looked amazing, the electric tools are good but they go fast and you WILL miss details that you may not see but oh how you will when paint and clear coat is on it
