Sluggish trans after service

Need help. I have a well built transmission for a reputable local builder, haven’t had any problems except recently I had them do a service now there’s a long delay when going from park to forward or reverse sometimes I have to tap the gas to get it to engage. It’s worse when it’s not warmed up. Fluid level is good. Can anyone tell me what happened? Thanks.

If they are a reputable local shop take it back and see what they say. That sounds like the pump but why if it's full of fluid? Why did you have it serviced? Trouble or just 30K service? Could be the filter came loose to.

I have a ZF6 and know Jack **** about the 4R100, but I have seen this before when I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee serviced. When they installed the new filter, the top of the filter nozzle was 1/4" - 1/2" too low and not inserted all the way. They had to remove and install it 3 times to get it right.

I don't know what all was involved in your recent service, but what I have said might be a consideration when attempting to identify the problem.
