What type of vehicle is it? Is this color stock or costume?

This is a Flareside Pickup. The color may be original...but it's badly faded.

COLOR code stamped on the 2nd line of the Warranty Plate, riveted to the left door face below the latch.

See pic below for location...then post what the code is.

Flare side = Ford
Step side = Chevy

Should not use step side on this site as it is a Ford LOL
Now if looking for parts try both names as others selling the parts may not know that Ford's are called flare sides.
My 81 F100 flare side custom still being rebuilt

Flareside = Ford, a step side is a Chevrolet.

Common 2wd 1/2 ton 78/79 truck cab and a NOT so common flare side bed, and faded paint. Not ultra ultra rare and you have 2 different door mirrors on there. And missing a taillight on the dvrs side. Just saying.

This not my vehicle. I was just curious as what model it is. I was thinking of purchasing this vehicle the owner is asking 1500$ for it. Clean title non salvage it's been on non op for about 5 years. Interior has been rebuilt. But the engine needs alot of work mind if i ask for your opinion on it. Also side note i own a 1998 ranger flair side i also owneda 1995 ranger but sadly someone tboned me last year and so i sold it great truck.

Is this one yours? Ford with a Mazda grille? I know the trucks are the same but why?
Why is it a non op motor wise? Did it not pass testing there or something big broke?

This the one for sale and non op? On the green truck if the frame is not bent and you still have it, pick up a new door and have a shop pull the rocker & door post back into place.
They will need the door to make sure it is pulled out far enough. Once it is pulled and door opens/ closes the rest of the fix is easy and it looks to be an easy pull.

Depending what one you are looking to buy (green?) I would not pay that much for it not running and the dent $500 maybe.
The blue depending why it has been sitting I might go $1000 but to get it pass your inspection is tuff so maybe $500 to $800 again what motor work is needed?
