ODOMETER PROBLEM

ODOMETER PROBLEM
2002 F350 diesel-Two days ago started truck and noted that the first 3 numbers on the odometer were missing. The last 4 numbers counting the one past the decimal point were present and working. I have driven truck for the past two days and no change. Is there a light bulb behind the first 3 numbers or something else going on? I did a search but couldn't find anything. Thanks
