I also pulled the back apart and blew that out as well as lines. With back blocked off or turned off I have 40 and about 225 but long get 60 out vent. With back turned on its 60 and 250 or so and 70 out vents. Yes new expansion valve in back as well.
i’m Fresh out of ideas on this I still think the low side number is too High but you have the right get size oriffice for our climate. Maybe the compressor isn’t pumping like it should? I would be more than happy to drop by or you come by to put eyes on. Pm me if interested
I have a 2003 excursion 6.0 and the AC recently froze up and then wouldn’t blow cold afterwards.. the compressor isn’t locked up and I’m assuming I need a good cleaning and recharge. However now I need heat and was wondering if it’s safe to try to use the heater as I’ve been told not to until I repair AC. I’ve looked through the forums and couldn’t find this specific question.. any help would be great!
No they didn’t.. I was thinking because of the compressor if it had a bad bearing it would lock up?! I haven’t tried anything on the heat yet.. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something.
If the compressor is locked up you don’t have to run ac with heat. At least on the climate control panel on mine there’s a button to turn off the ac compressor. Not sure about the manual climate control version.
You can, it just doesn’t remove moisture from the air anywhere near as well as when the ac compressor is running. That’s why I use the ac compressor when I use defrost, to keep stuff from fogging up.
