Looking at an F250 to replace my Titan and was wondering what is the measurement of a 2019 F250 hitch receiver from the ground. Just wondering what the difference is.
I am not sure that I understand the questions, but this may help since there are no other answers.
My six different trailers for very different uses all sit level when the base of the ball it at 16” to 18” above the ground.
On my new 2019 F-350 Lariat Ultimate, 6.7 diesel, 11,500 GVW, crew cab, short bed, Fx4, with snowplow prep front end I use a ball mount with a 6” drop to get me in that zone so that each trailer sits level or the tongue just slightly above level.
i have a 2019 f350 with plow prep and a 6.7 4x4 , to haul my 16 foot enclosed trailer i needed a 8 inch drop for the trailer to sit level with 2 harley dressers in the trailer , actually it is about a 1/2 in high in the front , hope this will help.
x2 another titan convert here, i got a 7 or 8" b&w tow and stow drop and the shorter one would've been fine. i've used the lowest setting once and it wasn't necessary for the boat trailer.
welcome to the club where you can use the truck for work every day and not break it, overheat it, cause random leaks, worry about the rear end exploding.
Thanks, just wanted to get a feel for the difference
What are you looking to do with the new truck? The Titan had a fairly easy to figure out towing capacity. With the Superduty series, it's not so easy. For example, if you're looking to tow a fifth wheel you should consider an F-350, not an F-250.
I love this sentiment as said above about theSuper Duty:

ill add this - and be in total comfort and luxury.
After studying all of the specs, the 350 was the obvious choice for me and I don’t pull a fifth or gooseneck. I wanted cargo capacity for tools and gear in the bed with a cap and bumper pull trailer capacity. And the Lariat ultimate plus. Few more options comfort and luxury. The largest trailer that I pull so far is a 14,000 gvw 24 foot equipment trailer.
I am towing a bumper pull that weighs 7600. That trailer is on the edge of my tongue and axle limits for my 2006 Titan not to mention payload. Been happy with the Titan just want more performance with my next truck. It looks like the Ford towing guide makes it convenient to find the figures for the different truck configurations.
The Ford towing guide is a PITA. You have to know certain things about the truck to find the right weight. But usually you can come close. The F-250 will tow that trailer with ease. Which engine and axle are you going with?
The F250 HD Package , 6k Plow Pkg , 10k GVWR will get you the same ability as the F350 ( same part numbers as used on F350 ) with lower insurance and registration costs . Most states do not consider F250 a commercial vehicle .
Was looking to get the 6.2 with the 4.3 axle. I thought the 9,900 GVWR was a paperwork thing and there is no difference with an F250 without that "package". Interesting idea with the snowplow option but if I read correctly that is only for 4x4s and I am leaning to a 4x2
