Not new to the PS, had an 02 with the 7.3......I searched and couldn’t find an answer.
I’ve had my 19 6.7 for just over 2 weeks, and put 1,300 miles on the clock. The DEF gauge just moved off the full mark over the weekend. I’m driving from Chicago to Dallas and back over Labor Day weekend.
How many miles can I expect before I have to add DEF?
Look at page 28 where it shows mileage range for DEF according to use and gear ratio. This will give you a rough estimate of what you should get with your truck.

My 2011 would get around 1,000 miles per 1 gal DEF non-towing. The 2019's are different but I doubt the consumption has changed much. Dealers do not completely fill (on purpose) the DEF tank during PDI.

URL loads the owners manual, which page 28 discusses how to use the rear door child lock.

The 2019 has a 7.5 gallon DEF tank. If you are running empty a lot, you should be able to go nearly a full oil change interval between on a tank (7500 miles or so). One thing to remember, is DEF freezes, so depending on where you live, you may not want to top off the tank November - March. I generally try to keep it to a half tank in the winter months to allow for expansion.
Sounds like I'll just top off the DEF tank before leaving town on my 3,000 mile round trip excursion. won't have to mess with that when I stop for fuel. Thanks again

Order the Ford DEF fill tube. It attaches to almost all of the DEF fluid bottles. It is designed to stop flowing once the tank is full, and will not spill. I bought mine from my dealer for around $10 I believe. Not sure which year you have, but on the 11-16 it is important to completely fill the tank so it will trip the full tank level switch.
All i ever did was just listen to the splashing noise. As it got closer I slowed the pour. Never spilled any and def level always went to full. Mines 2011

I second the factory fill spout, especially for us cold weather guys. I believe if you overfill it in the winter, when the DEF freezes and expands, it could crack the neck. Or so I've heard...
