Been looking for a set of winter wheels for my 2018 F250 Platinum. IN searching there has been 2 styles I have found. The style I have on the truck, which are a one piece, and then a bunch of sets that have a center hubcap (see attached). I have found this for basically every trim and wheel style, where there is a version of the wheel both with and without the center hubcap. Any ideas? could it be F350 v F250? Some descriptions specifically mention FX4. Could this be it? OR am I being dumb, and theyre the same wheel and the cap is removable, to where theyre the same wheel under?
Thanks Wheels on my truck Version with the center cap
I was under the impression the trucks with the M275 axle got the center caps and trucks with the 10.5 sterling got the wheels with no caps. I could be wrong but that's what I remember.
Question on this topic. I just picked up a set of 20" take offs and didnt do much research on the topic beforehand. After having the tires pulled and packed into the truck, I pulled along side a similar KR 250, but the rear center caps looked much shorter than on the set I grabbed.
That said, the factory 18's on my 2019 F350 Lariat the center caps look rather deep. Putting the pieces together in my head, it seems like these will work, but can anyone see one way or the other before I invest in tires?
Was planning to put some Toyo AT2's on the 20's, and keep the Blizzaks on the 18's for easy change out.....
Interested in this too. Looking for an extra set of wheels for a different summer tire setup on my f250 srw. Came with 20" chrome rims with center cap part of the wheel. My understanding is platinum wheels with separate center caps will fit but are not hub-centric with larger centers. It that's true would that be an issue?
Also if the center cap is a larger diameter and from what I've read 2" deeper, what's that going to look like on the front locking hub? Anyone?
