Voltage

Just wondering what kind of voltage every one is running while driving. I have a scan gauge II and mine runs anywhere from 13.5 to 13.9 while driving. Never hits 14. Is this normal or do I have a weak alternator?

The PCM reporting of voltage out of the OBD2 can show a reading down to 0.5v from what it actually is at the battery or alternator. The best way to settle your concern is to use a voltmeter to check at the batteries, then compare that to what you are reading at the SG2 at the same time. The situation drove me nuts for a while.

And don't use one that plugs into the lighter socket - that can vary by a huge amount, depending on quality, other loads on the circuit, and temperature.
