What to look for when buying a Excursion (body/frame stuff)
I always look at the rockers and bottoms of the doors for rust/repair, I even take a magnet with me to check for to much bondo, the rear quarters, front fender openings, back barn doors, but what else to look for?
I have been looking at diesels, typically 6.0's. I always check the degas bottle for to white crusty crap inside the cap(do it before I fire it up so its not hot), oil leaks under it, once warmed up and driven for a few miles I use my phone with Torque Pro and blue tooth adapter in the OBD2 port and look at water vs oil temps, check to see if I get lucky and find head studs vs bolts, what else should I be looking for?
