i feel ya. this week has just been terrible. Nothing is going right, massive jobs needing more and more. I just need to chill out.
This summer hasnt been bad, but I can go without these 110 plus days. We had rain today, droped it to low 90. Hopefully this is the end of 100 plus days here.
Today was bearable in the mid 90's and we had a late afternoon shower. Thinking of riding the motorcycle tomorrow, very little chance of rain. Little man was running on the sidewalk this afternoon, tripped and scraped his knee. He limped around the house for over an hour like his leg was broken, it was hard not to laugh at him.
Yesterday sucked left around early to go out to land ( Monticello) light rain. Time I got out there it had stopped it was pretty dry. Was cut a stumps of some trees the way they where laid over cut one stump no problem, started on the second stump got the big saw pinched. Measured out the log took the little saw and made that cut. The way the tree was laying the log did not fall. Hooked a chain to it and worked it free. Went to get the big saw did not see the yellow jacket nest. They attacked got stung at least 12 times to arms and back. Took Benadryl , ask my neighbor to take me out to ER ,she called 911. I did not want to drive to ER in case they gave me something that I could not drive. After I got treated had to figure out how to get back to land. I drove the car instead of the truck so the only way Lexie could have got out there was to have someone take her. So ended up the assistant fire chief took me back Still itching and some swelling.
Dang it man, that is bad. Some attacked me last year when I was cleaning the boat. I am real cautious now as they seem to be everywhere.
Rode the bike into work this morning, man that thing is so fun to ride. I got a hot rod truck and now a hot rod bike!
That was the second nest in 2 days the first was clearing between some trees pulled stuff back bucket saw that it, stayed away from that one. They live underground and can sting more than once. Maybe this will convince Lexie to go with me for safety like I have been asking her to do Two problems getting her up early and would do nothing out there except worry about the dogs running away and complaining about the heat. If I could get her to at least drive the tractor could get a lot more done. Can not afford to pay anyone to help.
It's Friyay!!
The National Guard in Rome is having a family and job fair day on Sunday from 9 to noon, They asked for a rep from Ag-Pro to come speak and talk about job opportunities. Any guess on who the boss asked to cover it? I told him I'd do it, no problem.

My daughter is still planning hers.
I pressure washed the back of the house yesterday, it took me forever to do it and I ended up with a nice sunburn on my back while doing it. I washed and waxed the Maserati. I got as far as waxing the chrome rims on the Hummer and had to call it a day, was just too hot for this old guy. I like to put a good coat of wax the vehicles at least twice a year, once in the spring and once just before fall/winter.
I just made sawdust yesterday. Have decided no more projects here till I finish the shop and get it organized so I can find stuff. The truck is down to electrical and finish bleeding the master cylinder. Need new batteries.
Moving right along on the truck!!
I went to the Armory this morning and talked to the soldiers. It has been about 20 years since the last time I drilled in that building. We had a meeting this afternoon to go over wedding plans, didn't get squat done around the house this afternoon.
Yes it did.
Everyone on both sides of the family are sharing the expenses so I'm not on the hook for all of it.
Bought a new radiator cap for the motorhome since the old one had a small leak. I few drips here and there but enough to slowly lower the level in the tank. I also bought some new hard plastic vacuum line to fix the vent control line on the dodge. The AC only blows out the defrost vents.
