Any chance anyone has been working on one yet. I pick up my new ST tomorrow and am itching to find some info on this. Mainly, disabling horn honk and enabling secure idle. But also enjoy tweaking a few things. Thanks
Hey, I just picked up my 2020 ST today and looking for a spreadsheet. I have picked up a couple of other Ford truck ones is all. I get my cable on Monday so will be hooking up to look. On another forum there is a lot of info on specific changes that guys are doing.
I'm still looking for a way have the irritating auto stop/start default to off. I would like it to be functional, but only turn on when I decide to turn it on; not when the green new deal people decide I need it.
I don't know what address it is, so I went into plain language and changed "Auto Start Stop" to disable. This did not work well. IIRC, after starting the Explorer, the auto stop start icon was not on; the light on the switch was on and the switch no longer functioned. Driving for a while, it seemed like might have worked; first few stops the engine did not turn off. Then, at the next stop, it turned off.
If I can't get it to default to deactivated (with the option to turn it on), I would choose to just deactivate it permanently. I live in a rural area with very little stop and go traffic; the system has no value to me; just excess wear & tear on my starting system.

Back to the drawing boards.
Reviving the thread here... is there an option there to set the default Drive Mode? The only methods I've found to do this after a couple hours of research involve a timing relay and adding some hardware after stripping the console down, but that seems to only apply to trucks (ranger, maverick, F-line) where the method is a button-press, not a ****-turn so I'm hesitant to even try those options.
So, it's been over a year now. Did anyone figure out how to turn off the Auto Stop thing? Like @scottz99 said I would rather turn it on when I wanted, not turn it off every time I start the rig. Or another option would be for the car to start in the Sport mode.

Forscan can't activate the start/stop function you want because it apparently was never programmed by Ford in the first place. If you really want this type of function, buy the hardware solution from Auto Start Stop eliminatior. I know it costs money but sometimes this is the only way.
