What do you think about accusations of sexual misconduct on the part of Arnold?
One thing that bothers me is that some of the stories seem to be manufactured - for instance, there was one where Arnold apparently walked into a gym, grabbed a girl's chest, and then walked out. Sounds kinda dumb to me.
Another one was when he apparently slapped a waitress on the rear in 1969. First off, while this is entirely innappropriate, I don't think it was quite how she said - I'm picturing a 22-23 year old Arnold, probably flirting with the waitress the whole time, and then he "makes his move". I've seen meathead high school football players do dumber things than that.
Also, why are these incidents suddenly important? You get slapped on the rear in 1969 and you decide to seek justice (or whatever the intentions are) in 2003? I think it's kind of late...
We all know that it's to derail his campaign, but that really damages the credibility of the stories.
yea i have to agree, i don't see how that stuff back then would mean anything now. i really hate how everything gets dug up now, i want to know what they are going to do and i want them to prove to me they are worthy. these days it seems who ever has the least amount of dirt on them.
If they go back and dig up some of the things I did when I was single, my campaign is in trouble. I think my retort will be, "let he who has not fondled throw the first stone".

um I smell sardines, um I mean fishy .... I saw this morining that Graying wants an investigation into his actions....um for waht? Statues of limitations have run out. I love the double standards of its OK for Clinton, but not Arnold
Originally posted by Mikeman Hey, wait a minute here. Look where this kind of behavior got Clinton. Maybe Arnold has his sights on the White House.
I'm not sure Arnold could run for president because I don't know if he was born in the US. As far as the accusations go, he should come out and address them. If they're as harmless as he says, let the voters decide if his character is worthy of holding the highest office in California. The price you pay for running for office is scrutiny of your past. The higher the office, the more scrutiny. If the system works well, that should yield the best person for the job.
It's what you call politics. They are going to dredge up everything they can on Arnold just like the republicans did on Clinton. Arnie is going to come out smelling a lot better than slick Willie did. I think he's doing a good job of handling it and they vote tomorrow. They are all getting desperate cause they know The Terminator is going to be the next governor of CA.
Anyone want to place a bet on how much longer it will be until this thread gets moved to the pig pen?

Hey Bubba - There's no way I'd bet on how long it takes for the move. I thought it belonged there from the gitgo.

Well, he was on the Today show this morning and when he was asked about it, he was a true politician. Completely avoided the question and went on to trash Gov. Davis.
All I know is they sure are making Florida look good. *grin*

Agreed - California's a freakshow. Any state where you have Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gary Coleman, and Larry Flynt all threatening to run for governor is definitely something special.
