so where I live to put a truck or car on the road you need a safety done by a mechanic on the paper it says I need a left hand side rear adjuster cable 10" drum what is that I look up on Google and nothing comes up I tried to ask the mechanic and he said he can't tell me anything without the truck infront of him aka he wants more money I'm in a tight money spot right now so any advice I would appreciate plz
If the radiator support is rotted off at the mounting area, it lets the whole front end move around. Fan can get into the radiator for one thing, the support can be replaced, but its not cheap to do, check the truck over, look at the rear spring hangers, they may also be rusted off.
the radiator support is more than just the mount for the radiator, its part of the main structure of the front of the truck. If there is an area that is "rotten" the truck should probably be avoided. A structurally compromised vehicle is not safe to drive and is probably cost prohibitive to have fixed.
