Hey Guys.
What is the best and brightest LED headlight conversion kit? I removed my factory halogen bulbs and replaced them with new LED bulbs. I am not impressed. The local aftermarket store said they would be very bright, but they aren't. I read that the factory housing is designed for halogen bulbs, putting LED bulbs in they won't project properly. I get dark spots where I would expect light to be. High beams go out far but not very bright. I am looking at some after market replacement lights ad housings. The OEM are totally crazy expensive,(3000.00) but I am sure they work great. My 16 F150 had them and they worked awesome but were factory, I didn't add them on. I see the ANZO switchback lights but I can not tell if they are halogen or LED. Some of the comments say they are halogen ad not LED. Has anyone changed theirs? The ANZO are around 600.00. I don't mind spending a little more for a quality and bright LED but can't see spending 3K for factory ones.
Thanks Bowtie,
I read that forum. I am still confused Haha. I am not sure if I need to replace the whole housing and bulbs, or just adjust the bulbs that I have now, in the factory halogen housing? If they even require adjusting. I don't know the answer to that either. It is to hard to explain what pattern I am getting now. Someone who knows about changing out halogens to LED would have to see what I am having problems with.
I had two trucks (2006 and 2011 F350’s) with halogen headlights that I put Marsauto H13/9008 led bulbs in before last winter. Both were significantly better (to my eyes at least).
One additional thing I did was adjust the headlight aim (which I had never done since buying the trucks new); they were a little too high so I adjusted them down. That produced a noticeable improvement (did that before switching to the led bulbs in)
Also need to make sure your led bulbs are positioned properly; the flat sides need to be on the sides vs top and bottom
I had a 2017 F250 with the Halogens. My 2019 has the OEM LED lights. Honestly the halogens put more light down on the ground and were brighter.
Not trying to be a smart a--, but I do believe you are the first person to have ever made that claim on here. Most people talk about the poor performance of their factory halogens.

A very important detail. The LED chips need to be facing the 3 o'clcock and 9 o'clock positions. Facing them exactly, not almost or kinda sorta. Make sure of this as well as adjusting the height of the beam. My factory halogens were just about as high as they could go right from the dealer's lot.
Beamtech LEDs made a marked improvement for me. I wouldn't be so quick to blame it on the LED bulb/halogen housing reason that some point out.
Thanks Poncho,
I will try that. I was told to install them straight up and down. I will see what happens at 3 and 9 If it still sucks then i will order the Morimoto Lights.

Do it right by doing it once.
Save up to purchase the OEM LED headlights and call it a day.
You can find the factory LED headlights for less than $3K.
I installed Supernova V.4 on my 2019 F350, 6 months ago. They are awesome! I had OEM LED headlights on my F150, these V.4 are equal. I ordered from HeadlightRevolution.com Size H13/9008.
